Shockwave Therapy for Trigger Point Release

shockwave-therapy-trigger-pointsTrigger points are the main causes of muscle pain in the back, neck and shoulders. Trigger points identify an area of muscle fibers that have stretched and contracted into tight knots sections. This contracted knot in the muscle fiber stop blood flow at the trigger point, starving muscle tissue of oxygen and nutrients. The knot then fills with metabolic waste as toxins build up in the area causing pain, tension, and muscle spasms. Shockwave therapy works to break down and “untangle”  returning the affected muscle fibers to healthy position and allowing oxygen and nutrients to reach the previously constricted fibers.
